Tilma does not set up or pay for website domains on behalf of clients. When switching your domain to Tilma, you will need to manage your DNS with Cloudflare. While Cloudflare is well-respected and stable, we do not provide any warranty for their service as per the Third-Party Services Disclaimer.
Step-by-Step Guide
Export Current DNS Records - Before starting, log in to your old DNS management system and export your current DNS records. You’ll need these for step 4.
Log in to Cloudflare - Go to Cloudflare Login and log in or create a new account.
Add Your Site
Click "+ Add site" at the top of the page.
Enter your website domain, e.g., yourwebsite.org.
Select the free account option and click "Continue."
Review DNS Records - On the "Review DNS records" page, ensure Cloudflare has correctly imported all your DNS records from your previous provider (refer to your export from step 1). Manually add any missing records.
Change Nameservers
Determine your registrar via WHOIS.
Log in to your domain registrar’s administrator account.
Replace your current nameservers with the custom Cloudflare nameservers.
Return to Cloudflare and click "Done, check nameservers."
Finish Setup
On the quick start guide, click "Finish later" at the bottom of the page.
Click the Cloudflare logo at the top-left to go to the Cloudflare dashboard.
