Recurring Events

Recurring events are events that happen multiple times at regular intervals, such as weekly meetings or monthly webinars. If you're looking to create and manage recurring events on the TILMA platform, this article will provide you with simple steps to help you do just that.

To get started, let's take a look at how to create recurring events.

Creating Recurring Events:

  1. To create a recurring event on TILMA, navigate to the 'Events' module and click the 'Create Event' button.
  2. Fill out the event details such as event name, description, location, and start and end times.
  3. Check the 'Recurring' box under the 'Settings' section.
  4. Choose the recurring pattern that best fits your event schedule such as daily, weekly, or monthly.
  5. Click the 'Create' button to save your recurring event.

Repeat options

Daily

You set how many days occur between recurrences. For example, setting to "every 1 days(s)" will mean the event will occur again one day after the first instance, and setting to "every 2 day(s)" will mean the event will occur again two days after the first instance, etc.

Weekly

Set which day of the week (ie. every Thursday), and how many weeks in between.

Monthly

Set events that happen the same day or time every month, such as the First Monday, Third Thursday or Last Weekday of a month. You can also set the number of months in between events, such as a meeting that happens quarterly (every three months) or some other interval.

Yearly

Choose the month and date for events that recur annually on the same date every year. This could be ideal for events such as Christmas and New Years Day (parish).

End option

You can choose:

  • Never – means the recurring event will continue to recur based on the above criteria forever.
  • On date – means the recurring event will continue until the date chosen, and will not occur again.

With these simple steps, you can easily create and manage recurring events on the TILMA platform. By taking advantage of this feature, you can save time and hassle by automating the scheduling of your regular events.
