Refunding Donations and Payments

If you need to refund a donation or payment processed through Tilma, you can do so directly in the Transactions Index. Here's how to get started:

  1. Open the Giving section in your side menu.
  2. Click on "Transactions" to access the Transactions Index.

Once you've opened the index, you can search for the payment's owner using their name, email address, or envelope number (if applicable). 

When you've found the transaction you'd like to refund, click the ellipses on the right-hand side of the payment record to display the "Refund Transaction" button.

Please keep in mind that it may take some time for the refund to appear in the donor's bank account due to the nature of the refund process. If you have any questions or concerns about refunding transactions in Tilma, please contact our support team for assistance.
