Add an offline donation

This article will show you how to keep track of donations made to your organization through cash, check, in-kind, or an external processor. We've designed this tool to make bulk entries as easy as possible.

1. Click on "Giving"

2. Click on "Transactions"

3. Click "Add Donation" in the top right of the page.

4. Choose the date the donation was made.

5. Choose the campaign which this gift belongs. New campaigns can be created in the campaigns module.

6. Search for the donor by their name or envelope number. You can create a new person if they do not exist. Consider making a person named "Loose Change" for untraceable transactions.

7. Enter the donation amount.

8. Set the donation type (cash, cheque, in-kind, external processor)

9. Click "Save Donation"

10. Go back to step 6 to create another entry. The system will continue to use the same date, campaign and gift type as the previous entry.

Making Edits

Typos happen! If you accidentally made a mistake, you can always go back and edit your entry or delete it. If a lot of time has passed since the entry was made, you may want to inform your bookkeeper so the correct adjustments can be made.

1. Click on the "..." on the far right side of the entry.

2. Click "Edit Entry" to edit or "Delete Transaction" to delete.

3. Make the appropriate edits and click the green save icon.
